High Country Mercantile is a collection of local artisans showcasing their handmade items. We want to enable artisans to sell their products in a store setting without having to pay the huge overhead that comes with owning a store. Supporting local is very important to us as we are also makers of handmade products.
Originally, we were and still are High Country Soap Company. We started by selling our products at farmer's markets, which we still do, and we have also started going to permanent markets. Previously we spent a little over a year in Granary Road, currently we are at Avenida Fresh Food Market and now we are opening High Country Mercantile in the Prairie Horizon Fresh Market. We have come to know so many amazing vendors and artisans and we feel this is something that is needed in the market place. We are so excited to start this new venture and we look forward to showcasing so many amazing products.
